Insurance & Payment Information
At CNS Behavioral Health, we recognize that each individual’s therapeutic needs are unique, and as such, our services are tailored to meet those specific requirements. Consequently, our fees vary based on the type and scope of the evaluation, therapy or services provided.
We operate primarily on a private pay basis, but many patients with out-of-network benefits can receive partial reimbursement for our services. After each session, we can provide a Superbill, which is a detailed receipt outlining the services rendered, associated costs, and necessary codes. (Note: A mental health diagnosis will be included on the Superbill, as insurance companies require this for reimbursement purposes.) Typically, insurance companies cover a portion of out-of-network services, often between 50-80% after the deductible is met. However, this varies by plan.
We understand that investing in your mental health is a significant decision. If you have any questions about payment options, insurance reimbursement, or the benefits of private pay, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our team is here to assist you in making the best choice for your therapeutic journey.

Good Faith Estimate
At CNS Behavioral Health, we are committed to transparency regarding the cost of our services. In compliance with the No Surprises Act, effective January 1, 2022, we provide a Good Faith Estimate to all uninsured and self-pay patients. This estimate outlines the expected charges for your scheduled services, ensuring you have clear information about your financial obligations.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Benefits of Paying Out-of-Pocket
Opting for private pay offers several advantages.
Enhanced Privacy and Confidentiality
Insurance companies require a formal diagnosis for reimbursement, which becomes part of your permanent medical record. Private pay allows you to maintain greater control over your personal health information.
Greater Flexibility in Treatment
Without insurance constraints, we can tailor the frequency, duration, and type of therapy to best meet your individual needs, ensuring a more personalized approach.
Unrestricted Therapist Choice
You’re not limited to a network, allowing you to select a therapist who best aligns with your preferences and therapeutic goals.
Avoiding Insurance Limitations
Some insurance plans limit the number of covered sessions. Private pay eliminates this restriction, supporting therapy continuity based on clinical need rather than policy constraints.
Opting for out-of-network payment for evaluations offers several advantages over standard insurance coverage. Insurance companies often impose limitations on the amount of testing, duration, and overall process, which can restrict comprehensive assessments. By choosing out-of-network services, individuals can access more thorough and personalized evaluations, allowing for an in-depth exploration of areas of concern without the constraints typically associated with insurance policies. This approach ensures that the assessment process is tailored to the individual’s specific needs, leading to more accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Transparent Fee Structure
Our straightforward pricing ensures you know the exact cost of each session, eliminating surprises associated with insurance billing.
